Back to School Sale 2026: Electric Bikes & Scooters to Consider in Ireland

Back to School Sale 2026: Electric Bikes & Scooters to Consider in Ireland

The new school year is almost here, and it is a good time to rethink the way you travel. Whether you are commuting to work, heading to college, running everyday errands or simply looking for a more convenient way to get around, an electric bike or scooter can make shorter journeys easier.

To mark the new season, Pogo Cycles is running its Back to School Sale from 20 August to 31 August 2026, featuring selected electric bikes and scooters alongside offers, Price Match and access to the Bike to Work Scheme. Pogo Cycles currently lists more than 300 electric bikes across its Ireland collection.

The campaign features nine models, ranging from folding commuter bikes and cargo tricycles to fat-tire e-bikes and high-powered electric vehicles.

Electric Bikes and Scooters - New Arrivals in the Sale

1. ENGWE O20 Boost Folding Electric Bike – €1,099

The ENGWE O20 Boost is the folding option in the campaign, making it a natural choice for commuters who value easier storage and portability.

The campaign highlights a 720Wh LG battery and 75Nm Boost motor. Its folding format can be useful for riders with limited storage space at home, work or college.

For everyday commuting, however, buyers should always check the exact motor specification and legal classification before using a particular model on Irish public roads.

2. SAMEBIKE-STORM Mountain Electric Bike – €1,549

The SAMEBIKE-STORM is designed for riders who prefer a more rugged riding experience.

It features an 85Nm+ high-torque motor, 960Wh battery and wide fat tyres, making it suited to recreational riding and appropriate mixed terrain.

A larger battery can be useful for longer rides, although actual range depends on factors including rider weight, terrain, speed, weather conditions and assistance level.

3. APEFOX RH30 Cargo Tricycle – €989

For riders who put practicality first, the APEFOX RH30 takes a different approach.

The campaign highlights a 500W motor and up to 80km range, alongside a foldable cargo design. Its three-wheel configuration makes it particularly interesting for transporting groceries, equipment and other everyday loads.

Cargo and e-cargo bikes can also be relevant to employees considering Ireland's Cycle to Work Scheme. Revenue currently lists a qualifying limit of €3,000 for cargo and e-cargo bikes, compared with €1,500 for pedelecs and e-bikes, subject to the scheme's conditions.

4. Bopzin Q31 Electric Bike – €1,295

The Bopzin Q31 is one of the performance-focused bikes featured in the campaign.

Its advertised specification includes a 1000W brushless motor and 48V 23Ah battery, offering considerably more power than a conventional Irish e-bike.

This distinction matters. The Road Safety Authority defines an Irish e-bike as a pedal-assisted bicycle with a maximum continuous rated motor output of 250W, with assistance cutting out at 25km/h. More powerful models can fall into the e-moped category and have different legal requirements.

5. Bodywel M16 Fat Tire Electric Bike – €789

The Bodywel M16 combines a compact frame with wide 16 x 4.0-inch fat tyres.

The campaign highlights a 750W peak motor and 55Nm torque, giving it a more substantial setup than a conventional city e-bike.

Fat tyres can provide a distinctive ride on suitable surfaces and make the M16 an appealing option for riders looking for something different for commuting and recreational use.

Pogo Cycles currently lists the Bodywel M16 at €789 on its Ireland website.

6. iScooter i12 Electric Scooter – €425

The iScooter i12 is the compact scooter option in the campaign, featuring 12-inch pneumatic tyres and a folding design.

Its advertised motor specification is important for Irish customers to consider. Under current RSA rules, an e-scooter used on public roads must have a maximum continuous rated output of 400W or less, a maximum design speed of 20km/h or less and a maximum weight of 25kg including the battery. Riders must also be at least 16 years old.

Therefore, buyers should verify the exact specification and Declaration of Conformity before using an e-scooter on public roads.

7. K-Cloud X13 Dual Drive Electric Scooter – €1,999

The K-Cloud X13 sits firmly at the high-performance end of the campaign.

The promotional creative highlights dual 4000W motors and a 72V 30Ah battery.

That specification is significantly above the limits for an e-scooter that can legally be used on Irish public roads. The RSA states that an e-scooter exceeding the applicable technical requirements is not legal for use in public places.

For this type of vehicle, customers should establish its exact classification and intended legal use before purchasing.

8. VIPCOO H2 Fat Tire Electric Bike – €1,149

The VIPCOO H2 is another high-performance model in the campaign, featuring a 3500W motor and 72V 30Ah battery according to the promotional creative.

Its fat-tire format and high-power configuration make it more suited to performance-oriented riding than a standard commuter e-bike.

In Ireland, higher-powered electric bicycles may be classified as e-mopeds. The RSA identifies L1e-B vehicles as higher-powered two-wheel mopeds with a maximum continuous rated power of 4kW and maximum speed of 45km/h, with registration, licensing and other requirements applying according to classification.

9. RAYZEPH C20 Max Dual-Motor Electric Bike – €1,399

The RAYZEPH C20 Max completes the campaign's featured lineup with a dual-motor fat-tire design.

Pogo Cycles lists the model with two 1000W motors, a combined 52V 40Ah battery, 20 x 4.0-inch tyres and front and rear suspension.

Its substantial battery and dual-motor configuration make it better suited to riders looking for performance and all-terrain capability rather than a basic city commuter.

Which Electric Ride Is Right for You?

The right choice depends on how and where you plan to ride.

For commuting and storage: a folding model such as the ENGWE O20 Boost can be practical.

For mixed terrain and recreational riding: the SAMEBIKE-STORM and Bodywel M16 offer fat-tire designs.

For carrying loads: the APEFOX RH30 is built around everyday utility.

For performance: the Bopzin Q31, VIPCOO H2 and RAYZEPH C20 Max offer substantially higher-powered configurations.

For compact urban travel: the iScooter i12 provides a folding scooter format, but Irish road-use requirements must be checked first.

Know the Irish Rules Before You Buy

One of the most important things to consider when buying an electric vehicle in Ireland is whether the specification matches how you intend to use it.

A standard Irish e-bike has a maximum continuous rated motor output of 250W, requires pedalling or pedal assistance and cuts out before 25km/h. Standard e-bikes are treated as bicycles and do not require registration, motor tax or a driving licence.

E-scooters have separate requirements, including a maximum continuous rated output of 400W, maximum design speed of 20km/h and maximum weight of 25kg including the battery.

The RSA also recommends buying from a reputable retailer and checking for appropriate CE marking and a Declaration of Conformity.

Make the New Season Electric

The start of a new school year is an opportunity to make everyday travel more practical.

From the compact ENGWE O20 Boost to the cargo-focused APEFOX RH30, fat-tire models such as the SAMEBIKE-STORM and Bodywel M16, and high-performance options including the VIPCOO H2 and RAYZEPH C20 Max, the Pogo Cycles Back to School campaign offers a wide range of choices.

The sale runs from 20 August to 31 August 2026, with selected models available at promotional prices.

If you are considering an electric bike or scooter this season, compare the complete specification, intended use and Irish legal requirements — not just the headline price.

Explore the Back to School Sale at Pogo Cycles Ireland and find the ride that fits your new-season routine.

Disclaimer: Prices and specifications are based on the promotional material and product information available at the time of writing. Offers, stock and specifications may change. Always verify the latest product details and applicable Irish road-use requirements before purchasing or using an electric vehicle.
